The most incredible thing happened when I was dealing with a personal, family health issue.  This life-death health scare of a loved one caused me to not think about work for three or four weeks.  This allowed me to breathe for a second and take a much needed look at my life.  I was neglecting the most important things I used to treasure, which were my health, my family, and friends, my personal time, ability to laugh and even romance.  In other words, I was neglecting ME.  I found the missing piece of the puzzle about where I went wrong in the previous four years!

I began to analyze all the projects, marketing models, partnerships, and the businesses I did case studies on. A pattern began to emerge.  After taking a step back and doing this research, it was clear that I had to change the approach to get a new result.  Because I went through being a marketing major to a salesman, to a entrepreneur, to a system builder, and online marketer and now a writer,  it gave me the most important answers to the puzzle.

This answer to the puzzle happened to be a crucial piece I needed to create the MeFormula.  The worst part about this piece of the puzzle was that it was not new.  It just was not my focus, but in the end,  it taught me the greatest lesson of all, humility.  Being humble was a great quality to learn, especially for a young buck like me.

Originally, I viewed on a technology basis, based on my business experience, but then my perspective broadened.  Look at the definition: It says nothing about technology!  Boom! Like a beam of light waking me up in the middle of the night, I realized that I needed to work my life around ME, my thoughts, needs, interests, friends, health, appetite, sleeping habits, family, cats. The list goes on.

This philosophy shift has taken on a whole new meaning, much more so than I thought.  I’m like most people. If I’m interested in it and have a passion for it, it isn’t work.  It’s a way of life.  Well,  there is no more important project than yourself.    Think about it. Whom do you live with most?  Whom do you think about most?  Whom do you talk to most?  Whom do you have to provide for the most?  Whom do you have to satisfy the most?  Who do you have to make sure is happy the most?  The list goes on and on.

The key is that each situation has to work for the you, hence the MeFormula:
